Education through Illustration
Ana Lima - 2039
We use VR technology to create visual representations of parts of the body. These are done through a series of experiementations, in which iterations are created to find the most aesthetically pleasing and comprehensively illustrative creation.

Here is the proof of concept of the alveoli environment.

In the future, we plan to offer more environments of various body parts.

Welcome to Ana Lima Illustrations, where we create teaching tools based on design and illustration for the life sciences.

Our mission is to make science more accessible by using innovative pedagogical tools. Through combining arts and sciences, we want to learn more about the world and facilitate others' learning while inspiring curiosity.
What began as a passion project for Ana (seen above) to combine her interests in arts and sciences is now an internationally recognized effort to create more engaging methods to teach sciences to all audiences.
Ana recently received the Red Floor Gallery award for Excellence in Illustration & Intersectional Education for 2039. A transcript of the interview is available above through the Main Menu.

Educational Poster
We developed a poster designed to create curiosity and intrigue by emulating the style of children's books. The dark, textured background is placed in juxtaposition with the clean white characters in the foreground- creating an eye catching visual contrast.

The poster creates a narrative around the initially complicated process that takes place in our body. This allows the audience to gain an understanding of the process while still stimulating curiosity and interest.
